BRIDGET PUCKETT, MSW, LCSWA

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate

Bridget is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, and has
earned her Masters in Social Work from Florida State University. Bridget has trained in a variety of settings and is passionate
about caring for individuals in their most vulnerable setting,
and assisting them in steps towards change. Bridget provides a
safe, non-judgmental space, genuinely walking through
difficulties together. Bridget specializes in anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, grief and loss, and stress management.  Bridget works with college and graduate students, teens and individual adults.

BRINN CLAYTON, MA, LMFTA 

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate 

Brinn is a Licensed  Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. He spent 30 years in the community newspaper industry, working and managing the family-owned community newspaper in Roxboro, North Carolina. May of 2020, Brinn graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with an MA in Christian Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling. Having benefited from mental health and relationship counseling, Brinn desires to assist clients of all ages and backgrounds in improving their mental and relational health. Brinn works with teens, individuals, couples, and parents and uses evidence-based, relational, and individually appropriate methods. His counseling interests include treating depression and anxiety, stress management, adoption, special needs parenting, life transitions, and couples counseling.

ERIK POTTER, MATL, MA, LCMHC-S 
Founder, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor

Erik is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. He earned an MA in Counseling Psychology from Mars Hill Graduate School (now The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology), and an MA in Transformational Leadership from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul. Erik is passionate about providing care to clients of all ages and backgrounds that is evidence-based, relational, and wise. Erik works with children, adolescents, individuals, and couples .

MARYANN GARCIA, MA, LCMHCA

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate 

Maryann is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. She earned an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She received a Bachelor of Psychology from North Greenville University with honors. In counseling, Maryann believes that presence has a healing power of its own which can be seen when people feel truly heard, respected, and valued. Her interests in counseling include treatment of depression and anxiety, grief/loss, stress management, life transitions, and couples counseling.

MATT SCHNEIDER, MA, LCMHCA
 
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Matt is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and uses his therapy gifts to provide sound counsel for those who are in need. He graduated from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis and attended UNC-Chapel Hill for his undergraduate degree. Matt believes therapy should be a safe place for children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families to explore more about themselves. Matt specializes in treating anxiety and depression, relationships and marriage counseling, life transitions, addiction, trauma, mood disorders, and spiritual discernment.

AMY MILLER

Administrative Support Staff

Amy is a licensed pediatric cardiac sonographer who graduated from Indiana University Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in medical imaging technology in 2010.  Working in  healthcare has deepened her passion to see patients receive quality, compassion-filled care and to see her teammates pursue excellence in their work.  At Potter Counseling, Amy uses her medical experience to provide administrative support to clinicians so that they can spend more time working with their clients.

LIZZY BAIN, INTERN
Intern

Lizzy is a clinical intern with Potter Counseling completing her M.A. in Counseling from Townsend Institute of Concordia University Irvine.  She attended Meredith College for her undergraduate degree in Child Development and has been working with children and families in a variety of roles for over 15 years.  She also works at SAFEchild in Raleigh, NC as a Parent Program Facilitator.  Lizzy specializes in grief and loss, disability, adoption, separation/divorce, boundaries, anxiety, self-compassion, betrayal trauma, and parenting.  She values authentic human connection and has experienced the transformative power of empathic presence in her personal healing.
