ABOUT RYAN

Life often requires us to navigate complex transitions, high-pressure environments, and unexpected challenges. I believe counseling is a courageous step toward healing and growth. My goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you are seeking to understand yourself better, improve your relationships, or find a new sense of purpose, we will work collaboratively to set and achieve meaningful goals.

As a clinical intern, I welcome clients from all walks of life. I work with individuals navigating challenges such as relational issues, life transitions, stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, drawing from Person-Centered, Systems Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Psychodynamic therapies. In counseling, I strive to create a supportive environment where you can explore your experiences, understand how the systems and past relationships in your life shape your present, and deepen awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I am currently pursuing my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. Prior to my clinical training, I earned an MA in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. My professional journey includes over a decade of pastoral experience, as well as spending most of my life deeply involved in sports—playing and coaching football at the highest levels. This background has given me a unique perspective on teamwork, resilience, and navigating the pressure to perform.

I am married to my wife of 16 years, and together we have four children and a standard poodle named Moses. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, enjoying sports, and staying active.
