About Nicole
Reaching out for help can be incredibly daunting, but it is also a sign of strength and readiness to pursue growth and change. I am here to come alongside you as you begin the hard, yet hope-filled work of therapy.
I am passionate about those who struggle with mental health because I have seen and experienced how debilitating it can be for day-to-day life. I also truly believe that there is hope in the midst of the pain. I have experience working with both children and adults with a variety of struggles. I am especially passionate about working with those struggling with OCD.
I believe that the best approach to therapy is a holistic one, where a person’s mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health are all taken into account in their care plan. In therapy, I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), exposure therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative therapies. I am also able to integrate faith into the counseling process, if requested by the client. I desire for every client to feel safe, respected and valued as they share some of the most challenging things about their lives with me. I strive to bring genuineness, empathy, and a sense of hope into every counseling session.
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate and earned my MA degree in Christian Marital, Family, and Individual Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I also earned a BA degree in Christian Counseling from Judson College. In my free time I love to bake and go hiking with my husband and my dog, Winston.
