Potter Counseling partners with the PD3 Foundation in honor of Parker Dubois
Potter Counseling & Consulting is honored and excited to partner with the PD3 Foundation! Together, we are expanding vital mental health support for individuals, families, and teenagers across North Carolina.
The PD3 Foundation was established in memory of Parker DuBois who died by suicide in 2021 at the age of 22. This powerful collaboration is in Parker’s honor - a beloved son, brother, and friend who was a bright light in his community, deeply loved by all who knew him. After his passing, his family founded the PD3 Foundation to turn their loss into a powerful force for good, focusing on awareness, support, and advocacy for those who are struggling.
His family, now residing in Chapel Hill, has made it their mission to honor his legacy by advocating for mental health support and awareness. This partnership with Potter Counseling & Consulting strengthens the foundation’s presence in North Carolina, complementing its existing collaborations. Through this partnership, funding from the PD3 Foundation will help make professional counseling services more accessible to those facing financial barriers. It will also support advanced, specialized training for our clinicians, enhancing the quality of care we can provide to our community.
"We are honored to partner with the PD3 Foundation to expand access to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across North Carolina," said Erik Potter, founder of Potter Counseling & Consulting. "Supporting individuals and families in Parker’s memory is a privilege, and we are committed to making a lasting impact."
We are incredibly grateful to Parker's family and the entire PD3 Foundation team for their trust and collaboration. By working together, we can help end the stigma and ensure no one has to face their mental health challenges alone.
These pictures show the amazing people behind this mission and the young man whose legacy inspires it all. ❤️
