Hello, I’m Danielle Hester
I am a Counseling Intern working on a Master’s Degree in Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family therapy. My interests include, but are not limited to, treatment of depression/anxiety, life transitions and stress, working with children and adolescents, and pre-marital/marital counseling. I hope to meet you where you are in order to determine the best path towards healing and achieving your goals
Approach to Therapy
When deciding on the best treatment approach for you, we will take several things into consideration. I aim to find treatments that are not only supported by research, but align with your values. I take a primarily solution-focused approach, while keeping in mind that every person and every story is different. We will customize a plan that works for you!
The first session
Admitting that we need help is difficult! Counseling requires vulnerability, change, and talking about hard things. I hope to create a space that helps you feels safe and comfortable to do just that. In our first session, I want to begin to learn what it is like to be you, especially when it comes to your area of struggle. My ideal client will be open-minded, motivated to apply techniques and methods, and eager to move towards growth.
