Marianna is a bilingual clinical
intern, pursuing her M.A. in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary. She attended Wake Forest University for her
undergraduate studies and received a double major in Psychology and
Spanish. Marianna has worked with children, teenagers, and young
adults in various roles, including as a tutor for refugee and
immigrant populations, a pre-kindergarten classroom aide, a nanny and
a campus ministry staff member at the University of Southern
California. Marianna is passionate about coming alongside people in
the midst of their pain and helping them pursue healing and growth.
She believes that each person is created in the image of God and,
regardless of their beliefs or background, has inherent dignity and
worth. She strives to create a safe, empathic space for people to
experience a non-judgmental presence and a place to be fully
themselves. Marianna works with children, adolescents, and individual
adults. She specializes in anxiety, depression, grief and loss,
attachment issues, and life transitions.
Marianna just moved to Durham with her husband, John, and will start at Potter Counseling in late January.
